No matter what you do, this specific color WILL turn everything you touch blue. You can wash it out for as long as you want, but it will still stain. It also stains the shower pretty bad!
It looks pretty, it just stains absolutely everything.

It’s purple. The smell is bad but it doesn’t drain my fingers and hands after I have dry hair. I thought it would be more like a purplish red since it is plum but not bad.
Adrian –
It had a stronger pigment than inspected, because of that I was able to use it with a bit of hair conditioner and still have a good color, thumbs up

Got this to try as finding hard to get Arctic fox in uk, wow this is so much better.
It’s a very small tub but a little goes a long way, I dilute with conditioner for lilac and a tiny bit works, lasts for weeks and weeks, love it.
The deeper the colour the longer it seems to last so depends how much you dilute it.

I was scowering Amazon for a easy, non toxic smelling hair dye that would wash-out eventually. When I read the reviews and came across this, I thought I’d give it a shot.
Now, I am a person who uses box dyes on my hair (a cardinal sin, I know)- a lot. I dye my hair constantly. However since beginning of this year I have only dyed it once. So for Labor Day weekend I thought, what the heck- lets do a dye that will be easier on my hair. This stuff did not disappoint.
PROS:
-Color is a VIBE, it pops. I had hair that was half blonde, half light brown- and this worked great and shown after the initial dye.
-Easy to apply- (put on some gloves for this cause or else you gonna be scrubbin it off your hands for a hot minute), however it was quick and painless to apply by myself.
-Did not smell toxic at all, smelt like berries or something.
-Color so far (two weeks) has lasted long after 5 hair washes in that time. I am using color-safe shampoo and conditioner.
CONS
-This stuff BLEEDS, and I mean Bleeds. If you don’t use some oxi clean on your sheets, be prepared for that. It will wash out though, especially if you take care of it right away. On regular surfaces bleach cleaner knocks it out instantly.
-I used the whole bottle on my hair- now I have THICK medium/shoulder length hair. The whole bottle was barely enough- next time I’ll probably get two to be safe.
Some notes:
-After reading A LOT of reviews, i did the following and it worked well for me:
1) I used gloves when applying and tossed a “hair dye” towel over my shoulders.
2) I left it in for 2.5hrs- some reviews left it in longer but i am impatient.
3) When I rinsed it out I did it under cold water and i was in the shower for around 30 minutes just making sure I got it all out- give your head a little scrub with your hands too as it’ll sit on your scalp in parts (as most dyes do).
4) I wore gloves when I rinsed it out as well, I did not get any color on my hands and honestly if you don’t want that headaches, just wear some latex gloves.
5) I have a tub/shower combo and the tub/ curtain looked stained. In a panic I used some bleach cleaner and sprayed it on- came back in 5 minutes and it was all gone before I even scrubbed. Highly recommend that.
6) My biggest mistake was probably not using ANY shampoo and conditioner after first rinsing the dye out of my hair ( I didn’t have any sulfate free or color safe at the time). When it dried it got all over my clothes, and my sheets. Not a TON but you know, enough to notice on light colors. I think this is were I messed up.
7) After I finally did a few washes with color safe shampoo/conditioner (i used dove brand) the bleeding onto items was significantly less. I would recommend using color safe conditioner during the first rinse and then color safe shampoo/conditioner every rinse after. It will still bleed in the shower every time you put shampoo in- but its not a lot/big deal as it is meant to rinse out in 25+ washes.
8) Don’t wear light clothes with it until after maybe your 5th wash…trust me you’ll thank me later.
9) the tip they give you when you buy it on the label it use aquaphor or vasaline on your hairline/ears is a lifesaver- do that.
10) if you have medium/long hair get two of these little jars- one is only enough for short and some types of medium hair length.
Definitely get this is you want some fun color that won’t last forever or need to bleach your hair for. My hair is dirty blonde/ more blonde on the bottom and it looks as vibrant as if I had bleached it. Great product overall! Will buy again to try some other colors!

Love this color. Vibrant, long lasting, and dark. But beware for your floors and counters, it stains super easy! Definitely glove up. Dish soap and baking soda to remove any spills! Overall good hair dye just be prepared to clean. Also, the first application tends to be pretty dark, and after a wash or two is more like the green shown.

(Sorry this is long but I’ve used so many colors I figured it was worth it to give my notes! All photos are after first rinse and before first wash.)
PHOTO 1: Flamingo Pink, Violet, Atlantic Blue, Turquoise, Apple Green, Bright Yellow, Flame, & Fire over level 9-10 (platinum blonde). Note I heavily blended the blues which is why those aren’t as defined. No filter, indoor light.
PHOTO 2: Violet over level 7-8 (dark blonde). As you can see it’s still very saturated. No filter, sunlight.
PHOTO 3: Turquoise over level 9-10 (platinum blonde). Snapchat filter made it a touch less green.
This is the only hair dye I’ll ever use. It smells nice, leaves my hair conditioned, very very very saturated, thick formula, has a jar with screw lid, and has really good staying power in my hair. However I really recommend people do research on hair dyeing with semi-permanents before using it. All dyes like this will stain the first few washes and the dye will directly stain most surfaces, you won’t get vivid results without bleach, and some colors will permanently stain and need to be removed chemically or toned. Everyone’s hair is different!
Personally I ONLY wash in my stainless steel sink for the first 4-5 washes, with a black towel, and gloves. I use black pillowcases, and honestly it can and will stain light colored shirts if you’re not careful. The first week or even two it can come off on your hands especially in sweaty weather, but if that concerns you, just rinse with warmer water or shampoo – it’ll fade the colors a bit but it won’t be as dangerous to your skin/clothes. This dye is…a dye….it will stain your everything but I find it came off my skin and some surfaces with nail polish remover/acetone if I did it fast enough.
I use dandruff shampoo and no color deposits or “color safe” products so keep that in mind with how long my colors last. I usually gradually increase my hair’s “tolerance” by raising the temperature of the water with each wash until I get to my normal level. After about the 5th or 6th wash I can safely go in my shower with very hot water and clarifying shampoo and not worry too much but if you want to err on the safe side, wait longer.
After 2 months most of the colors except red were still visible, though the blues did get overtaken by the green and the orange was very faded to almost nothing. After 5 months, yellow was the strongest stain, though you could still faintly see the violet, pink, turquoise, green, and orange but only in certain spots.
COLOR NOTES:
Flamingo Pink: A really good true pink, it’s warm-toned but not too much. It actually doesn’t fade as fast as I expected, even with shampoo applied directly to my scalp, it stays strong.
Violet: Really deep color, a perfect jewel-tone. Glad they fixed it to be blue-toned. Fades slowly, over platinum it goes to light purple and over darker blonde it goes to mousy brown. The dye is very potent. I used it as a DIY purple conditioner but some random strands would have the purple “stick” to it and just be pastel instead of silvery.
Atlantic Blue: Really nice deep blue, blended well with the Violet. Faded pretty fast and barely stained which is unusual for blues. Mine actually went almost right to silvery-blue. I’d actually prefer this as a DIY-toner or fade color to the Violet!
Turquoise: One of my all-time favorites. Blue stains so this didn’t fade very fast but it does get a bit dingy towards the end of its lifespan. It can definitely go stronger on the teal if your hair base is yellow so take that into account.
Apple Green: It is definitely a solid green, in between emerald and lime. I wish I had gone with the Spring but it is a lovely shade. Fades slowly, it did bleed a bit into the yellow.
Bright Yellow: It is a “true” yellow in my opinion. This stains and barely fades at all because of the natural yellow in your hair. I will say this color despite the thick formula has no resistance to other colors such as green or orange because of how saturated they are, so be careful when doing multiple colors with this.
Flame (Orange): Really nice color, fades somewhat fast but not as fast as I expected considering it’s a warm color. Perfect for fire hair or saturated auburn/ginger.
Fire (Red): Absolutely love how red this is, it’s not pink or orange at all and can easily blend if you’re doing other colors or want dimension. However, as is the nature of red dyes, it faded the fastest tied with Atlantic Blue. It was gone in a few washes, faded to a ginger-y orange.

I got this for my daughter for her 9th birthday. We colored just the ends of her hair and it came out great, bright and fun. It only lasts a few washes…
