So with Windows 11 this device comes alive. It fixes all the complaints from earlier reviews. It now runs VPN and anything I needed to install works fine. If you have one with Windows 10 be sure to update to Windows 11 and you will be much more happier with your purchase.

I bought this computer and it was possessed within three days. Three keys keep randomly typing letters without touching the keyboard. I tried replacing the keyboard, it did not work. I will make an insurance claim on it to have it repaired

The main reason I bought this computer was to do remote work securely. Since the SQ cpus don’t support openvpn or quite a few other things. Hard to believe this is really something that gets sold, particularly without warnings. For an idea of what you can’t do with this machine, no vpn, no vmware. Search for limitation before you buy. Corporate IT departments may not be able to secure these machines to their requirements.

I like the size and weight but after using it, it gets pretty hot. My purchase was RENEWED so it could be the 10% recycled part that is bad OR WIN 10 isn’t doing well with ARM processor.
Price is not worth it since it’s fairly new to compete in this hybrid tablet space. I would go for Samsung tablet if you’re looking for tablet with speed and doesn’t overheat.
Microsoft needs to push out 5 generation of tablets to be able to get it right. So far, the design is great but processor and heat and battery needs major improvement.
Not worth buying renewed since it’s only for 90 days. Price is still too high.
MyOpinion –
I use a Surface Studio at home and this is by far the closest to having a portable version. Build quality is excellent and came in practically brand new. Update to Windows 11 as soon as you are able to and this will give you a much better experience.

Bigger screen than my surface go.

Took a chance and ordered this renewed. Pretty much like new except it comes in custom packaging. The only drawback was the SSD cover wouldn’t stay closed. I think that was because of the refurbishing process. It was easily solved by buying some double-sided electronics repair tape (also available on Amazon). Solid purchase.
As for the Pro X, I use it as a YouTube and internet tablet. I wanted it as a secondary device (I have a laptop for my main work) and it excels at that. I do accidentally touch the screen sometimes depending on how I’m holding it because the bezels are very narrow.

This is the one to get with the sq2 processor and 16gb ram. The keyboard is a must for PC-line experience. Also got it renewed. I’d say it has all the advantages of an iPad Pro only with full workstation capabilities. The fact that it syncs with my main machine was a pleasant surprise. As far as cases, I recommend using a sleeve over a case which adds bulk. Just be careful when using it, it does seem a bit delicate. The cool factor is outstanding as Is portability. I just wish the charger was not so bulky.
