Crisp and clear. Not sure how to review a lens, but I works great. Used it as my main lens for a wedding I did recently. Extremely impressed with the sharpness of this lens.

I’ll admit I haven’t tried all of Fuji’s lenses, but after moving to Sony, I can say that this lens is the closest thing to a pro-grade lens that Fuji has to offer, while keeping Fuji’s look. It’s just a fantastic lens. Can’t say much for its video capabilities, but if any Fuji lens is going to serve you well for that purpose, it’s this one. Fast, sharp, compact, perfect. Brought it on vacation along with my XF56mm 1.2 and the 56 never came out of my bag because the sheer reliability and sharpness of the 33mm was so… intoxicating. Love it. Get it.

Image quality wise this lens is really pushing the threshold of modern optics. It’s beautiful, no distorition, great contrast, a nice pop to the images. It has a similar sister lens the 23mm which is optically almost the same but a wider focal length. If I only had one I prefer the 23 for events because I can get larger groups with it but it’s certainly possible to cover an entire wedding with a 33 especially if you don’t mind stitching 1 or 2 group photos in post. The plus side is the 33 is a better portrait lens. Perhaps people prefer the isolation of a traditional portrait focal length with the 50mm f/1 but that lens is obnoxiously large and loud so it’s almost useless for video. Also it’s not my style to just chase the widest aperture I can.

Great quality and clarity and low light performance. GREAT!

Lente con resultados brillantes!

As everyone says, this is an excellent, sharp, fast lens on my XT-5, and great for low light. Only negative is that it is bigger and heavier compared to Fuji’s other tiny primes, and it’s expensive. I am happy with it.

Great lens alternative to the monster 56mm F1.2 WR, this lens is a lot smaller and better for travel. At 33mm (50mm equivalent), this lens offer the closest perspective to that of a human eye, great bokeh (although not as good as the 56 but that’s expected), and stunning image quality + weather resistant. Great buy for the price.

These new Fuji F1.4 primes are optically stunning. The build and image quality are out of this world. This lens is more than sharp enough for me wide open from center to corner in any light. Images are contrasty with pleasing colors and no aberrations. Autofocus on the X-T4 has been near instant.
The downsides for me are the increase in size over the old 35mm lenses, the somewhat bland bulky design (including the bleh plastic lens hood). My copy in particular has a fairly “sticky” focus ring which makes manual focusing a bit unpleasant. But then manual focusing has never been a strength of the focus-by-wire Fuji system so it doesn’t bother me in practice. The pleasing optical performance in any situation and the images it produces easily makes up for these small annoyances.
