I like the coverage it provides without that whitish, ashy look that other mineral sunscreens give you. However, it does go on kind of greasy feeling and I found it will dry after several minutes and that goes away. It still feels like it’s sitting on top of your skin, because it is, and it tends to transfer slightly to any fabric that brushes my face, so I have to be careful with collars and such. The reality of a mineral vs chemical sunscreen is this: it doesn’t absorb on purpose so it will feel a little different at first. I use it only on my face because it’s pricey, but it does a good job and suits my purpose. I bought it for protection following a chemical peel and it’s done the job well. Will purchase again.

The mineral sunscreen I have been using for years has been discontinued, my dermatologist recommended this as a solid replacement. I don’t wear makeup, my tinted sunscreen is it. I see this on Amazon and it is half the cost of the previous cream, but 2 ounces less by volume. I try it. This is good. I could get away with squeezing out a massive dollop of my old stuff, slap it on, blend out my hair line and run out the door. Not with this. Too much and you are a shiny oil slick. Too much and it pills. Too much and it gets stuck in your hair line and not blend out. Too much and if you do wear powder makeup, it cakes. Just a little dab will do ya. I had to learn not to be so sloppy with my application. Once I got it right, it has quickly become my new favorite. I like feeling so much more moisturized and not dried out. I like a a little bit of a healthy glow and not being so flat. Once I figured out how little I need to still get adequate sun protection for all day wear, I can’t recommend this enough!

Blends well with my Asian skin tone. Really hydrating. Unfortunately, the resulting look on the face is too shiny for my liking, especially in humid weather. Looks like perspiration. Takes about 2 hours for it to look more acceptable.

This tinted moisturizer is a little bit darker than my skin tone, I am usually at the lightest end of a foundation color scale. With that being said, it adds a little bit of color to my pale face. It is easy to put on, it’s a little thicker than my normal foundation, but it blends easily. I have good skin with little to cover up, maybe a little red around my nose, but this product covers fine. It does leave a little shine and I prefer a matte finish to my skin, so I just dust a little powder over it. I like the simpleness of not having to moisturize separately from my foundation, it’s just a quick timesaver on the weekend when you don’t want to get into an elaborate makeup routine.

The texture is smooth and creamy, easy to spread but face look very shiny. It takes at least 30 mins for the sunscreen to dry up become less shiny and surprisingly it does not stain the face mask. I quite like it, the downside is my face look darker (one shade darker) after a few hours or end of the day – I think this can be corrected by applying a lighter shade or foundation or powder.

I tend to prefer the finish of chemical sunscreens, but can’t tolerate most US formulas around my eyes. Mineral formulas leave me looking ghostly even when they say they won’t (CeraVe’s is especially guilty of this), despite my relatively light skin tone. I have a go-to tinted mineral stick that I usually use around my eyes (Salt & Stone), but wanted to try a tinted mineral lotion instead.
This sunscreen doesn’t make me look ghostly, but it does make me look somewhat sickly as the tint is a bit too dark and too yellow. It did stay in place relatively well on my eyes, and didn’t sting at all, but the tint just isn’t right for me. It would probably blend better if I used it all over my face rather than just around my eyes, but it’s too greasy for that on my oilier skin. I’ll use it up but I probably won’t buy again.
If you have a light to medium skintone with a hint of yellow in it, especially if you are dryer, I think this could be a better match for you. And if you’re looking for an untinted CeraVe formula that actually has no white cast, their one chemical-only formula (Ultra-Light Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30) is great.

Es una lástima que se anuncia un producto y te manden otro. Yo pedí el bloqueador solar con tinte (como se anuncia y sale en la foto). Y me mandaron otro .que no tiene tinte. Es una pena que no se respete lo que se vende

this was a bit dark for me, this would be a late summer shade that could match. I am a Fitzpatrick skin 4, tan easily, live in az and am outside a lot. I can’t see this tint working for many people unless you added your own lotion to it.
I saved and will use come august and September! No breakouts. Want this to replace makeup. Better than Fenty and rare beauty bc it is higher quality. It’s darker than Fenty shade 8 and darker than rare beauty tinted moisturizer shade 30n.

I changed to mineral-based (physical) sunscreens to avoid potentially carcinogenic compounds in chemical sunscreens. However, mineral sunscreens were giving me a kabuki look, making my already pale skin even paler. This product avoids that while giving good sun protection. I thought it was costly for the small amount in a tube, but then I priced the competition, which is even more costly. Why these products should be so expensive is beyond me. (Maybe it’s because the manufacturers think a tinted product will have mostly female customers subject to the “pink tax.”) This CeraVe product is a good one and is priced lower than the competition.
P.S. It works well with my pale “Caucasian” skin. I don’t know how it would look on those with darker skin — probably not so good.

This product is a great option for sun protection. The tint just smooths out imperfections without really adding color. My only issue is that the box is way bigger than needed for the size of the tube, and the tube is way bigger than needed for the amount of product! The cost is not prohibitive, but you’re not getting very much product. Therefore, I’m using a cheap spray-on for everyday use and only using this occasionally. I use a pressed powder and blush over this once it has been absorbed and it really looks nice, while providing protection. I will buy it again, though not economical.

This made me look like a clown. The tint disappeared as soon as it touched my face and I ended up having an aggressive white cast.

This is one of the worst tinted sunscreens I’ve used. It is SO greasy when first applied. While it improves after twenty minutes, it is still greasy enough to leave oil marks on a tissue. It also stings a bit on application. Such a pity as it seemed to have so much going for it in terms of sun protection.

I chose the CeraVe Tinted Sunscreen with SPF 30 after using a sample size last summer. It’s non-comedogenic, so it’s perfect for use on my acne prone face. I use it when I go out and I feel like I need a little coverage, without putting on a full face of make-up. You do need to blend it well and if you’re a little greasy, like I am, wait a few minutes and use blotting papers on the forehead, chin, wherever you need it.
I highly recommend it. Be sure to apply it at least 20 minutes before going into the sun!
