These look like really nice leads and I can’t say anything bad about them.
I do wonder why so many leads are gold plated when the terminals on so much audio equipment are nickel plated.
Oxidation due to a galvanic reaction takes place between dissimilar metals and that includes gold and nickel.
Maybe it is so they stay shiny on the shelf? Take ’em for a spin once in a while and they’ll be fine after a little crackle.

I thought I’d give these a chance after looking at tons of other audio cables and I’m glad I did. ”Basics” is a buit of a misnomer when it comes to these. The build quality is impressive. It has sturdy connectors (they look gold plated), a thick (surprisingly) flexible wire which is soft-touch and the whole cable is weighty, it doesn’t feel like it’s going to break any time soon.
The sound is also great, my CD’s have never sounded so good. In my opinion Amazon have knocked out the park with this little cable. Do your hi-fi a favour and get some of these badboys.

Habe mir diese Kabel bestellt, um meine Stereoanlage neu und einheitlich zu verkabeln. Bislang nichts zu kritisieren, im Gegenteil: die Kabel sind schön dick, aber noch flexibel genug. Die Stecker sind recht groß und halten gut – sie wirken (meiner Meinung nach) wie vernünftige Stecker aussehen müssen.
Störgeräusche, die durch diese Kabel kommen könnten, sind mir bislang nicht aufgefallen.
PS: ich wage es sogar, mit diesen Kabeln recht hochwertige Komponenten zu verkabeln. Werde aber demnächst auch mal ein 100€ cinch kabel vom Bekannten ausborgen und “Probehören”.. ich erwarte ehrlich gesagt nicht viel 🙂

Habe diese Kabel nun mit Kabeln von in-akustik sowie von oehlbach verglichen (Kopfhörerverstärker zu Phono-Pre) .. und ich konnte KEINEN Unterschied feststellen bis auf die Tatsache, dass die 6-9 mal so teuren Kabel natürlich schicker aussehen..

Its great i thought the 4 feet would be small thats what i was thinking the whole time actually its not and it really long and plays really well better than my other one and more snug than my other one. I would recommend it.

Tried two other bargain cables on Amazon and was disappointed in either the connector construction or the stiff cable construction. These cables have a nicely designed connector that can be adjusted for tight fit, and a relaxed, supple cable that makes them easy to manage. The only thing I didn’t like is the length. Everyone else makes 3 ft or 3 m cables, these are 4 ft minimum.

Very nice fit and finish. Nice value. Good looking and FUNCTIONAL. The covers are nice and flexible. The connectors fit well without being overly tight. Will buy again and I wish I would have bought some of the speaker cable versions too.

Good quality cable for the money but buyers should be aware of one very important fact…
The outside diameter of the connectors is slightly larger than industry standard which may cause problems with audio equipment using RCA Jacks spaced at industry standard.
To explain, I have a high end Magnum Dynalab tuner with RCA jacks on the back to output the signal to a preamplifier. Using the Amazon Basics RCA cables, the left and right channel connectors touch each other. The problem this causes is a short between channels because the Amazon Basics connectors each have metal rings that short together. Very bad news!
I’ve added a layer of non-conducting tape (Black Electrical Tape) around each connector to prevent disaster.
Again, good cable for the money but be mindful of the application.

Just got one of the 4′ cables today. Was quite impressed with the connectors and the cable itself that was fairly thick yet flexible. Hooked it up to my Sony CD player that I also have connected to my receiver with an optical cable. I tried this with what I would call a mid quality cable that I bought maybe 10 years ago. When I switched back and forth with that other cable there was a VERY noticeable difference in the low end bass and somewhat noticeable difference in the highs. When I did the same test with this Amazon cable the optical cable still had a little more low end but it was much closer in sound and the highs there wasn’t much difference at all. So I wasn’t comparing this cable to another high end one but the one I tried before should have been better than the cables that most components use to come with in the box. So in this short test I was quite impressed with the sound quality. AMAZON, PLEASE make these in a shorter length like a 1.5 or 2′ cable. For what I am going to use this one for, the 4′ will be fine but for connecting older components that are stacked together, 2 feet is the most you need. I would buy a bunch more in a shorter cable and replace all of my older ones.

While I needed this RCA cable to connect my JBL Bass Pro 13 Subwoofer to my Partybox 300 Portable Bluetooth speaker via Audio out on my Partybox 300 to Audio In on my Subwoofer, it does the job just as it’s supposed to, no static or anything, my only complaint is if you’re trying to space out your Subwoofer from any other speakers you’re using, spend the extra Money and Buy the longer versions, other than that great product.
