Bought as a replacement for the previous model. I dropped them and they couldn’t salvaged This one feels like a hard, thin plastic and is super loud compared to the prior trimmer. They work and that’s what I bought them for. Definitely not built to hit the floor.

WAHL is a good brand, and a household name for many years.
I’m so glad they STILL make great quality products after all of these years.
They are relatively quiet for the cheaper model that I bought, and very simple, not much to them, but they have an adjustable head, which is a good feature as to not cut the skin getting too close, and they are relatively light.
Mine came with the seal on the case MISSING, and the instructions inside the package by WAHL says, “return product if the seal is broken”.
I didn’t return it, because all of the parts were there, it worked properly when I plugged it in, the head movement is aligned, all attachments fit relatively proper, etc. and it has a 5 year limited warranty for defective or failed product with the receipt.
Save the receipt and you’re good.
I’ve never had an issue with any WAHL products that I have purchased, but I’m sure defective ones may have made it out the factory line at some point. It happens.

We’ve been using Wahl razors for 20+ years and it was time for a new one. This new one was so loud it was uncomfortable to use it around the ears. We tested it and it was over 80 decibals. My husband figured out there is a factory set power screw (on the opposite side of the blade adjuster) that can be turned to reduce the noise and vibration. Adjusting that and giving the blades a generous oiling reduced the noise to a much more tolerable noise level. It cuts really well.

It works well. Just a little noisy after using several times. I cleaned the inside and thought it was some hair stuck inside. But after cleaning the noise is still strong. The noise can be lower only if I press the top part. But obviously i can not do it when I use it for hair cut. I hope someone can let me know if they have similar problem. Thanks

These clippers are very loud. I have learned to buy the ones made for dogs because the motor is much quieter and the vibration is less. I bought these after buying and using the Wahl pet clippers for myself(never used on dogs). They really should use the quiet motor on all their clippers.
