I liked that the product did not have any strong odours, and did not dry out my hair. It hides the grey hair, and provided a nice shine, but it did not lighten my hair. I have dark blonde hair, and this light blonde hair colour didn’t change the colour of my hair. I left the product on for 35 minutes after applying. I wouldn’t recommend it if you are expecting a colour change.

This color lasts!! I needed a lot of gray coverage and this does the job and well. It covers the grays and doesn’t fade like other brands. My hair looks silky. The only down side for me is the smell. Its kind of an old smell but the conditioner that comes with it counteracts most of it. I almost didn’t buy it again because of the smell but found if I use the included conditioner the first few washes, it helps tremendously. It does make my head itchy but that doesn’t outweighs the benefits. I also have sensitive skin.

Suits me…would purchase again

The color tube was the hardest hair color tube I have ever tried to squeeze. It barely came out into the developer bottle and it started to bust out of the sides of the tube so I had to cut the tube at the bottom and squeeze it into a bowl. I then poured the developer in the bowl and mixed it that way. There was very little product. Not enough for a full head of hair unless you have very thin short hair. I have very thick full hair that is about two to three inches past my shoulders so I was only able to cover most of the top part of my hair and nothing underneath. I have naturally white roots with dyed beige blond hair. My top white roots came out dark blonde. My dyed color came out light golden brown. The color is nice. The product is moderately toxic. The conditioner made my hair soft and silky feeling. If I were to use it again I would probably need two to three boxes for one application.

One of my favorite box hair dyes so far. Right after application it was definitely a little darker and more black but it has slowly turned to a more brown and even has red pulling through. Hasn’t faded and seems to be holding color well.

I had to turn into a henna/indo girl because of my 2 almost anaphylaxis reactions to regular hair dye. But henna is super annoying. My grays are coming in on a monthly basis now that I’m 42 and I’m not ready to embrace that. Regular dye leaves my ears and eyes swollen and putrid. My neck and forehead would have giant oozing bumps. So I had bad reactions. But it’s been years since I’ve used fast acting dyes. First I took a few extra doses of my hydroxyzine and montelukast since I have overactive mast cells. I react to friction (that’s a WHOLE other story). So I took my meds, did a patch test. Took one extra hydroxyzine again and did just the front half of my hair. I also have extra triamcinolone and I coated my ears and neck preemptively. Oh yeah, and after the application I soaked my hair in potassium permanganate because that stops the oxidation of hair dye. I don’t know what worked. Did I have to do all those steps? I don’t know. All I know is that is has been 2 days and I don’t have not one awful reaction. I don’t look like a Klingon. I am happy that I did not have to go to urgent care for a shot. The dye took soo well. Allergy sufferers, take precautions. Maybe this brand is our hope!

I like it because of it’s no ammonia etc but that also means it doesn’t cover the grey enough or for a longer time than permanent. But you can’t have it both ways, I guess. The length of time to keep it on is as long as the permanent dye so if you are looking for a no ammonia dye, then sure use it BUT it’s super expensive compared to the Drugstore options.

I couldn’t get my hair colored at a regular salon, because i started this allergy not only on my scalp but redness and itchiness over my entire body. It came out of nowhere, been coloring all my life but it started 5 months ago. I changed to Naturtint, which is Ammonia free, but i still had the same issue as before, so i tried Schwarzkopf Simply Color and i didn’t get the reaction i used to. I hope it stays that way, only thing is i have to color every 3 weeks. It’s okay, as long as i can cover my greys without an issue 🙂

I do like that there wasn’t a gag-inducing smell. Within a week of coloring my hair, my tough gray roots were back. The color is also quite purple-ish in the sun.

Not a strong smell but it still burned my scalp. The solution is not as thick as other box color products. The color is close to dark brown. Pretty. Left it on for 49 min. Not a complete gray coverage but it is not too noticeable. I might use this again. Hope it won’t burn my scalp as much next time.

Unfortunately this product did not meet my expectations. It says it is permanent colour and will not wash out easily but it washes out pretty quickly compared to other dyes out there. The colour as well was not what I was hoping for. It turned out more brassy, even though I used a anti brass shampoo after.
Will not be buying this product again.

my hair is about as bla brown as it comes. i normally dye it every 3-4 months to hide the grays. this time i wanted something alittle different then my normal brown colors. so i went with this.
looked like it had little red to it. it came out WAY red on me. abit unexpected, but ok. color did die down after a week.
i had alot of people say they like the color on me. may go with it again in the future.

I began dying my hair sparingly about seven years ago. Initially, I had no problems with allergies. Then, about a year later, out of nowhere, I started developing blisters on my scalp with intense burning and itching after each application. Yep! I was allergic to hair dyes.
For about five years, I dealt with the suffering associated with trying to shave a few years off my appearance. I tried products from two major companies experiencing the same side effects.
I searched and searched and couldn’t seem to find a dye that actually works for people like me – until about two years ago. That’s when I came upon this product. Thankfully, I gave it a try – and no allergic reaction!!! 🙂
The application probably doesn’t last as long as one of the more toxic brands on the market, but it doesn’t cause me pain and it gives me the overall look that I want. I’m very thankful that I found this product, and I highly recommend it to anyone who has also experienced the suffering of an allergic reaction to hair dye!!
