I got this for when my dad comes to visit. He would never pick it up if I gave it to him directly. My father isn’t technically inclined and even struggles with a smartphone. He used it when he came to visit and absolutely loved it. The screen looks great and the icons are large. It’s perfect for senior citizens or anyone with bad eyesight. The tablet is very easy to use and self explanatory. A toddler could probably even pick it up and use it. I have even enjoyed using it myself. I also like the fact that it’s not heavy to hold in the hand. It’s definitely a five star tablet.

This is a good overall tablet. The screen is nice and clear with a good resolution. It is light weight but when holding the back with my fingers it creaks like if the back case is not secure. The tablet has android 11 which is a lite version for low end models to have all of the capabilities of a full android tablet. The oversize layout for seniors needs more developing as some of the icons lead to a website in French, as this tablets maker is from France. There is a target button next to the clock and it leads to a French website as well as the Ordissinaute icon on the screen. There is an email icon and when pressed a generic screen pops up and it asks for your email address and password. I do not feel safe entering that information not knowing what third party my information goes to or if they can see my private email. The nice thing is you can download all of googles apps and have a more secure experience. The tablet is also not clear for which language its made for, French or English but this is only the companies overlay that they can easily update for the English user.

This tablet was not up to what I thought it would be. The first thing I will say about this is that the whole tablet boots up into french. Even the browser goes to a french webpage so setup was not very easy. It definitely would not be easy for someone who wants an easy to use tablet. I would not really want to give this to my grandfather as he would not even know how to work it. This would need to be setup prior giving it to him. I had to translate a lot of the text in order to get it to setup on english which was a bit annoying. It does have a nice screen and it has a good touch response but the back plate feels a bit loose. I could actually press down on it like it is not properly seated. That being said, I would be worried to spilling water on this thing as I am pretty sure the water could easily get between the backplate and the screen. This runs a simple android 11 OS. It is stripped down so it does not take up a ton of resources. Regardless of that, it does lag from time to time. I am unsure of what the actual specs on this but it does the job for what you need it to do. The tablet itself has no case. The back piece is easy to get scratched up. You could just go with a universal generic case which is fine. The icons are definitely bigger on this tablet so you do not have to worry about not being able to see it. You can adjust the icons you wish on the home page to make it easier to access which is a nice touch. The battery life on this is okay. It only really last my grandpa about 5 hours or so on full use. He mostly just watches youtube on it and maybe some browsing the website. For the most part, it is easy to use after you have to set up in english. It does not take too long to charge about 3 hours or so. I have seen the battery start to degrade a little bit so it is not lasting as long as it used to. The sound on this is not bad. I would not say it is great for the hearing impaired. The controls on there are pretty simple. It has what he needs which is power button, home button and volume control. Beyond that he would not really know what to do. You could set up everything before hand which i HIGHLY suggest given that it is in a different language. Overall the tablet has too many flaws. It is not exactly long lasting. It is simple once you get it setup but you have to actually worry about setting it up in french first then changing the language. That is a bit of a red flag considering this is suppose to be extremely user friendly. The screen quality is not bad and okay resolution for good video streaming but the sound is not the strongest. The operating system is stripped down and does run okay but it still a bit slow and unstable. The back piece not feeling very secure means this would easily be broken. There are just too many reflags to really say this is a good tablet.

This is definitely a fantastic tablet! I was a little resistant to buying something this technical that wasn’t a major brand name. But this PixStar brand really surprised me with such great features. It is truly easy to use, and exactly what the advertisement said it would be! If you need more user friendly, and intuitive features in your tablet, for, let’s say a family member that is a bit technically challenged, it will now be easy for them to complete any task such as understanding how to download / upload pictures and files.
On the home screen, the larger font, and larger icons default settings are a nice touch. For an advanced user all of that can be modified of course. But I wanted to point out the differences between this tablet and all the others for sale which is the actual easy user interface and additional features to make simple daily tasks much less frustrating. I really like it’s speed when connected to my home WiFi. To be honest, I can’t think of a single negative thing to say about this great, portable, daily workhorse of a computer. I would say the display is visually stunning with sharpness and clarity I didn’t expect would be such high quality. But it is! At 10.1 inches the crystal clear screen is big enough even for visually challenged older adults to be successful navigating through their downloaded apps, and surfing the internet. I’m rating this PixStar tablet a 5 star, but I would give it 10 stars if I could. Buy with confidence, it’s a very good value and great quality!

The default language is in French & it has to be changed all the time. Not a user friendly product for seniors! My senior is capable of setting this up, but to download all the instructions defeats the purpose of being ‘easy’.
Piece of crap!
