I have a current Gen iPad Air which is great for a lot of things. I also bought this tablet for other things. I wanted this one for battery life and for storage. The iPad is good for about 4.5 hours video playback (brightness at the lowest level) give or take. I bought a 1TB mSD card for the Lenovo and was able to put a crazy amount of media on it. The battery lasts me for about a week using the tablet for about 4 hours of video playback a day at the lowest brightness level. I also read books on it. The screen is great but not nearly as nice as the iPad. The audio is also truly spectacular for a tablet, but again not a great as the iPad + AirPods. All that said, we are not comparing same to same either. This tablet was about half the price of the iPad.
Long story short, depending on what specs you value, this could be a fantastic tablet. I am happier with it for my needs than any other tablet I have ever owned. But I do not use it as my go-to device for everything. It has a specific job and does it splendidly. Your needs may be different.

The cameras aren’t great and as per usual a ton of the memory is taken up by the system and apps that can’t be deleted, but otherwise it’s great. With an active pen it even makes a reasonably good drawing tablet. And the battery life is excellent.
Once in a while –
I’m a Lenovo fan. I have a Lenovo Chromebook, IdeaCentre, and a ThinkPad. They all run Linux beautifully, which is one reason I’m a Lenovo fan.
I started considering purchasing a new tablet. I’ve been using an 8-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab A for a couple of years. I think 8-inch tablets are an ideal size. They’re about halfway between a phone and a Chromebook. And if you’re a dude they’re small enough to fit in a back pocket.
But I decided I want a larger display, and a quality one, mainly for reading. So I looked around. Of course I considered the Kindle Fire 10 HD, mainly for price. But the lack of access to Google Play store was kind of a dealbreaker.
So I started considering this tablet. It’s Lenovo (big yay for me) and it went on sale at about the same price as the Fire tablet. Lenovo, Play Store, and good specs and performance? I’m in. So I bought one.
This tablet really works for me. Its performance is great compared to previous tablets I’ve owned. (I’m not a gamer, so I can’t speak to how well it runs games.) The IPS display is good enough, with enough PPI for sharp text and vivid color. It comes with a zippy processor, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of internal storage. The camera might not be dazzling but it is decent. It has a 3.5mm headphone jack. Most of the bloatware (and there’s not that much) is easy to uninstall or switch off. I’m really happy with it.
Well, almost really happy. There is one bit of bloatware that can’t be switched off or uninstalled, and that’s a persistent nag on the settings page to sign up for the Lenovo User Experience. You can decline as many times as you want, and the nag just comes right back. Then there’s the “Lenovo ID” login prompt that also can’t be dismissed.
I don’t know what Lenovo is thinking — “Hey if we just be relentless and wear them down, they’ll eventually give in and sign up.” No that’s not how this works, and that’s not the way to build customer happiness with a brand. And I don’t want to sign up for another “ID” in today’s climate. I’ve had enough surveillance and tracking and data collection (despite assurances no “personally identifiable information” is retained — we all know that can be changed to personally identifiable information with just a mouse click). And it’s just annoying, no matter how many “advantages” signing up supposedly brings.
So, no, I won’t sign up, no matter if that nag stays on until the tablet wears out. And I’ll continue to be mildly annoyed by it, and I probably won’t be as enthusiastic a Lenovo fan as I am otherwise. In fact I’m docking a star from this review because of it.

A well built, great specced tablet but with two peeves.
– The 3 controls at bottom of the old tablet has been discontinued with this new one. It is now frustrating to close or navigate to already open apps. The up slide action is glitchy.
– I find the top placement of the volume buttons awkward. The older model had them on the side which was more ergonomic.
Best buy.

This Tablet was on my radar for a few months before this version was released. I really, really like it so far. I have had it for a few months and I primarily use it for apps like Crunchyroll, Manta, and webtoon. The sound quality from the speakers are great, the screen quality is great, and it’s capable of playing most games without issue.
The ONLY problem I have is the Bluetooth. I cannot watch one episode of anything without whatever device I’m bluetoothing for sound getting disconnected. Happens every 15 minutes or so on average, so most of the time I just use wired earbuds anymore or cast to tv. Yes, I have tried both Bluetooth headsets I have, and 2 different sound systems. It disconnected from all of them in the same intervals, so it is an issue with the tablet no doubt. IF I didn’t encounter this Bluetooth issue, this would have been 5 out of 5 hands down.

This tab is great for the price, everythig works fine, just two advices.
As I’ve Seen in other comments, it doesn’t have 128 gb memory, but 64; works fine for the price; aso it doesn’t work well whit any stylus; as I’ve read it only works well with the Lenovo Precision Pen 2 or the Lenovo active pen 3, but they look discontinued.
I’ve bought the Precision from China, but it will take some time to arrive.
