In general, I like this laptop. I was shooting for quality but not the latest/greatest because I am cheap.
I use this for work, which is not processor heavy, and for surfing and youtube. I notice no problems with video.
The only thing I don’t like about it is the battery which doesn’t last very long. It’s a small battery…I get it…but if you’re using this expecting long battery life then you should look closely at the specs.

So far there’s been a lot to like about the laptop. Set-up was a breeze. Keyboard has a nice layout and seems to respond to the easiest touch. Touchpad is placed sufficiently off-center so that I’m not accidently touching it while typing. The Laptop is surprisingly lightweight, but that raises concerns about durability. We’ll see how it goes. My last two laptops, Dells, both were both replaced due to hinge issues.

I love my new laptop computer. I specifically wanted one with touchscreen, and this one is amazing! The only thing I didn’t like about it was at the beginning when I first got it, it wouldn’t allow me to download any apps. But after my husband and I both googled and searched the web everywhere for how to be able to download apps onto my new Lenovo, we figured out that we had to set it to be able to do that which sounds easy and simple and self-explanatory, but it was not self-explanatory. Believe me I tried, because the settings that they tell you are not there, you have to go to something totally different to fix it but works now, so I love the computer.

Got this to use as a secondary laptop for work and home. Really like the lightweight and the sleekness of the design. Looks and feels like a more expensive laptop. Comes loaded with a lot of trials and stuff…but most laptops do nowadays. Every once in a while it like flickers not sure if that’s normal or not. The touchscreen works but I don’t really use it. 100% happy with this computer. It serves all my needs. Light browsing…some streaming…and mostly work stuff. For the price it’s hard to be upset about anything. Should buy with confidence if looking for a solid laptop for either work or personal use.

I’m so glad I read the reviews saying to disable S – mode. I don’t understand why you wouldn’t have the option in set up to turn that kind of thing off or on. Other than that, it’s a perfectly serviceable machine. Once you’ve got it up and going , it’s very fast and gets the job done. I was surprised at how light it was for the size it is! Trac pad is a little finicky but I’m sure I’ll be fine with time. Definitely an upgrade after using a 12 year old Mac Pro for so long!

I hadn’t heard about this S mode before, which basically locks you into safe programs from Microsoft. You can’t download anything from other sources. Not even Chrome, for example, which the computer insists you don’t need, with a pop-up admonishment. “For your own good,” as your mom might say. To get out of this took research. You can’t even use REGEDIT in Admin mode (which it considers not to be a Microsoft program!). For someone not very techie or computer literate, S mode is probably very useful, but for me it was quite a hindrance.
When I found the steps, the mouse would not click the button to get out of S mode. After two days of madness, I was ready to return the laptop, but then tried plugging in an external mouse. With the external mouse, I finally turned this S mode off. This is a permanent change, no going back.
Now it’s nkta bad machine. But when I tried pair it wirelessly with my new Fire TV, it could not complete the pairing, though the TV recognized the device. After 20 plus attempts, I’ve given up for now and bought a long HDMI cable. Possibly there is some setting I can change to make that work, but it’s quite disappointing. I use my TV as a large external monitor when home.
Battery life is fair. The plug is huge, and won’t fit in some strips. I don’t even see where the battery might be. I hope it’s not the kind that requires a tech to replace.
Though it’s large (which I like for the screen size), it’s fairly light. It fits into my large backpack, which has a padded computer compartment. It’s light enough to carry around, if unwieldy.
Because it’s solid state, it usually is ready for me pretty quickly, but longer if it was fully powered off. I’d give it 3 1/2 stars, but the annoying S mode thing made me choose 3 over 4 stars.
For the price, it’s not bad. I bought it thinking it was this huge Amazon sale, but I’ve since determined the price is similar everywhere, or even cheaper.

I have a touch screen Lenovo for work, so I’m used to the convenience of it (and I do use it often). I was in the market for a new laptop and this Lenovo model fit my budget. I don’t use my laptop for gaming, so I can’t speak to how well it works for that. I use the Office Suite, primarily Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher – and it works great. I was worried that my OLD printer wouldn’t work with this laptop (and I love my OLD Brother printer). I have it on my at-home network and this laptop discovered it and installed the drivers automatically. Printer works like a charm.
I will say this – until “S” mode was turned off, I had my share of frustrations. Other than that – this laptop is a fantastic deal! I would highly recommend.
