Amazon Customer –
I am not an audiophile, but I do enjoy listening to vinyl records as they have a unique sound quality that I find satisfying. This turntable was very acceptable for my use and I only had a couple of small issues that I would mention. First, for a $200 turntable I find it annoying that you have to change 2 settings in order to switch between 45 and LP records; one for speed and one for size. These adjustments could have been combined into one switch. The other issue is that there is no detent/lock for the tone arm and it easily ‘jumps’ off its rest when the turntable is even slightly bumped. Aside from that I found the sound quality to be good for me and although I use it through an amp that has a quality phono preamp; I did test it with the built in preamp plugged into the AUX connection and found it to have acceptable sound.

I purchased this turntable so that I could connect wirelessly to my Bang & Olufsen speaker, play vinyl, and stream. The table is fully automatic, plays 331/3 and 45s and comes with a magnetic cartridge. Dust cover included.

Funciona no automático e no manual perfeitamente.

I got the lilac one and absolutely love it. It’s a very subtle color but still pretty.
The record player itself is awesome. I love that it has Bluetooth output so i can connect to a Bluetooth speaker. I’m currently using a JBL flip 5 (I think) speaker and love the way it sounds.
I did a lot of research from lowest price (vintage victrola but very worried about records getting scratched) to up to $500, but i just started getting into vinyl records (wanted to stick lower than $500). I grew up with a dad and grandparents who loved their vinyl and this brought up some amazing, loving memories. It also reminds me of my childhood when i used to listen to cd after cd in my boombox. Theres something really nice about just playing a record by an artist and listening to all of their songs. I was missing that over the last several years where I just streamed music and only heard the more popular songs. Its nice having the physical record and cover to display too.
This record player brought me back and has all of the things I was personally looking for. I think it’s great for any level you’re at and awesome if you’re just getting into it or getting back into it.
I wanted Bluetooth, manual and auto play options, anti skate and just a reliable record player that would work well without damaging records. This one covers all of that within a reasonable price.
My daughter has a suitcase record player which I’m not a fan of how the music sounds from the built in speakers. She loves it though (I did get her some accessories to keep her records safe like an acrylic slipmat which helps with balance and sound too)
I’m not an audiophile and I don’t know all the musical terms. I do know I like music that sounds good and thankfully my Bluetooth speaker has a good sound, that I personally like. I listen to music constantly and love it. It would drive me crazy if it didn’t sound good or right.
I did look into lower priced record players that didn’t have Bluetooth but I’d have to purchase speakers that hook up which would defeat the purpose of a lower price. It would have cost more to get a cheaper record player and speakers.
Now if you don’t have a Bluetooth speaker, this could add up. I do still think it’s worth it, in my opinion. If you’re not looking for Bluetooth, I think their non Bluetooth version of this player would be a great option.
I really love this record player and am very happy I went with this one. Audio Technica seems like a great company that makes quality products and looks like they make replacement parts easily accessible if needed.
Now to build up my collection and work on a nice set up for the record player and records!
Update:still love but there is no power button. You will have to unplug it if you don’t want it on while no record is playing. I don’t mind this since it’s plugged into an outlet that’s easily accessible. There is a switch on the back to switch the setting to a speaker hook up so you could switch to that if you need the Bluetooth off
*played back the video on my phone and it does sound slightly different, there is no static or odd noises that play out of it. It’s clear and sounds great in person*

This is a good choice for casual vinyl listeners. It is not going to win any audiophile awards, but on the other hand, it is designed well enough that it won’t ruin the vinyl that you play on it. It has a reasonable weight setting and also has anti-skate. These are not adjustable, but they work as designed.
Convenience is the name of the game with this turntable. Setup is a breeze You can have it out of the box and running in less than 5 minutes. The hardest part is attaching the belt, and even that is not hard. There’s no alignment, setting the weight, anti-skate or anything like that – it’s all done at the factory for you and there are no adjustments you need to (or can) make.
With built-in bluetooth and phono amp, you can easily connect your wireless headphones or speaker, or connect it to a line-level source if you don’t have a phono amp input. However, these are the areas where this turntable will not even get entered into the audiophile race. It doesn’t even make sense to have a high quality cartridge, phono amp, etc. only to send it through a lousy Bluetooth CODEC. So these features are great for the casual listener, but not the audiophile.
The automatic start and stop is another convenience feature that higher end units do not offer. For a person not experienced in placing the tone arm on the record, this feature can save you putting accidental scratches in your records. It also makes it easier to use, just put the record on, press start, and the record begins to spin and the tone arm moves to the start of the record and drops down.
Probably the only feature missing that could be considered a convenience is USB output. There are different variations of this product, but the one I received has Bluetooth but not USB. This would make it easier if you wanted to record your vinyl to a computer, include it in a streaming session, etc. You can still do this by connecting the output (with the phono amp feature switched ON) to the sound card line input on your computer.
All of these convenience features make this an ideal turntable for the casual listener who wants the vinyl experience but is not necessarily concerned with top sound quality. So what are the quality compromises?
To start with, you cannot change to a higher quality cartridge. You can change the stylus, which is readily available, but the cartridge cannot be upgraded to a better quality product.
Build quality is adequate for a consumer device, but there’s a lot of plastic, and not a heavy weight platter. This turntable could be prone to vibrations or picking up noise from other sources like people walking in the room or working on the same table/desk where the turntable is located. There are no adjustable height feet for leveling. All of these features are found in higher quality audiophile level equipment, and will definitely increase the sound quality, but only at a small level. This turntable is 90% of the way there, and you would need to pay hundreds more dollars to get that extra 10%.
To sum it up, if you want the experience of collecting vinyl, and listening to music in that format, but don’t want to be bothered with all the intricacies of a “hi-fi” system like phono pre-amps, integrated amps, cartridges, alignment, and high cost, then this is for you. If you want to make a hobby out of the entire hi-fi experience, building up a system of quality components that you select yourself, then you might want to skip this and start with something in the $400-$600 price range. You’ll get less convenience but more options to grow and expand right from the start.
PROS:
* Simple set up
* Convenient features: Phono amp, bluetooth, auto start-stop
* Lightweight, small footprint
* Won’t ruin your vinyl like some very cheap models can
CONS:
* Can’t upgrade cartridge
* No weight or anti-skate adjustment – these are preset at the factory
* Bluetooth quality is questionable
* Mostly plastic build
