I had no idea getting old meant one eye’s eyelashes suddenly don’t match the length of the other when one applies mascara. So weird. Because of this new issue, my shorter eye would get clumpy with the additional effort to lengthen with my best mascara, and STILL were not as long. What can I do? Researched drops you can use, etc and they all had scary side effects so no thank you. Then an angel suggested a lash primer. No idea they existed!! So because I love my Maybelline mascaras, I tried this one and it’s GREAT.
It has a separating type wand and I only used it on the offending eyelashes. It separated and lengthened and I didn’t use too much. It dries quickly. I got the tinted one because my lashes are blonde. Then I applied my mascara to both eyes. The first day it helped a little. After a couple of more days my new process was a success. Both eyes now look even! You can also just use the tinted primer as your mascara if you like a light look. I did that one day but realized my eyelashes needed the additional cover of mascara because the primer dries stiff. Mascara over it a little helps lashes remain supple. Great product, highly recommend you try it if you have the same problem I do!

I was out of my Hourglass mascara and knew it would take forever for a Sephora delivery, so after searching for similar mascaras, I decided on Maybelline Lash Sensational Washable Sky high Mascara in Very Black. The brush is pretty much identical to the Hourglass mascara, and it makes my lashes look the same as Hourglass mascara does. But the formula itself is very different. Hourglass is very easy to remove… just a little water and lightly rubbing my lashes with my fingers tips results in it balling up and coming off easily (I believe it’s a tubing or fibre mascara). This Maybelline mascara requires cleanser or eye makeup remover to come off. I personally don’t think the waterproof version of this mascara would be necessary because the regular really stays put.
Maybelline (vs Hourglass):
Pros
– cheaper, and faster delivery via Amazon
– definitely a dupe for Hourglass as far as how it makes your lashes look (same brush)
– doesn’t smudge or flake
Cons
– not the same kind of formula as Hourglass so removal requires using soap/makeup remover and more effort
The next time I’m in Sephora I will pick up an Hourglass mascara again, but will be ordering the Maybelline again as well.

This product is AMAZING!! It literally made my lashes look super long and thick without clumps and I have thin short lashes to begin with! HIGHLY RECOMMEND this product. Wish the seller wasn’t selling it for so much because its being sold half the price at drug stores, however, it is sold out everywhere so I had no choice because I was dying to try this product out.

For some this may be wonderful, but after trying I am not a fan. Even after curling my lashes, all this mascara seems to do is make them stick straight out. However it does it does increase their length, quite a bit, but doesnt help hold the shape. I find it quite clumpy, having to go in with a wand to separate the lashes. After an 8 hour shift at work, I had little black flecks of mascara under my eye and on my cheek. Maybelline, has much better mascara!

I had been a Clinique-only gal for years. And I mean years. Well, long story short, I branched out, picked this one based on high reviews, and I’m a fan! So far—and I’ve worn it 5-6 days each week for the past couple of weeks—it hasn’t been clumpy at all, and it certainly doesn’t smudge. I was a little skeptical of the bristles – I’m used to the old-school kind of spoolie bristles. But I have no problems whatsoever with the wand. It’s great. My only complaint is that I’m used to being able to easily wash my mascara off using my face wash. This one doesn’t come off as easily, so I end up finding some leftover flakes of mascara around my eyes and clinging to my lashes every time I wash my face/take off my makeup. I’m sure it removes just fine with a makeup remover, though – I just don’t like using it. Overall, I’m very pleased, and I don’t think I’ll be going back to Clinique any time soon.

I don’t think I’ve ever had a mascara that keeps my eyelashes curled and long all day long. I don’t even know how to act. I only used two coats. It doesn’t flake. My new favorite!! I got the true brown it doesn’t seem too brown to me but I don’t care I love it regardless.
Also, I got washable and it wouldn’t come completely off like other mascaras do with a makeup removing cloth. I don’t see that as a bad thing though. I needed makeup remover to get it completely off. But it applies good like a regular washable mascara!

Everybody is talking about this mascara, and I do mean EVERYONE. You can’t type “makeup hack” or “best mascara” into Google or YouTube or Tiktok these days without having Maybelline’s Sky High coming up in the results.
Now, don’t get me wrong, this is a very good mascara. It gives you terrific length and doesn’t clump easily. But, that being said, it doesn’t even compare to their The Falsies mascara.
OK, this is a review for Sky High, but let me wax poetic on The Falsies for a sec. That mascara gives you amazing length AND volume and you can actually find it in stores. Using The Falsies makes my lashes so long they brush my glasses, and I don’t get that with Sky High.
So it’s really up to you. All length? Go Sky High. Length and volume? The Falsies.

This mascara actually does egat is advertises it does. I have been wearing mascara since I was 15. No other mascara has EVER made my lashes so long, thick, full and with no clumping. My eye lashes actually touch my eyebrows and my eye glasses. I will NEVER used another mascara in my life. I used to have to use an electric eyelash curler which I love but, I no longer need it. I love this stuff. Every woman that has thinning eyelash thinning do to age, once you use it, you will have your thick 20 year old lashes back. The mascara is thick and soft and I have never seen such a unique brush. I actually feel the Bruce pulling and stretching my lashes without pulling them out. Washing it off….is a breeze and still while washing off with simple soap and water I do not lose any lashes. Worth every penny, although, the price is fantastic for the way it works. I swear gals, I NEVER leave reviews due to the fact that the product sucks. Please trust me on this. Purchase this mascara. You will be amazingly happy and never purchase a different brand again. I have super short, super thin and fine lashes and this mascara is amazing! It adds nice volume and great length! It emphasizes each lash, even my bottom ones. It’s doesnt smear where my lashes hit my skin, which I usually have a problem with. It also doesn’t straighten curled lashes. I love to try different mascaras but keep coming back to this one because it’s the best!

Amazing mascara. I have short lashes that don’t look full whatsoever. When I use this mascara. my lashes look fuller & longer. It also lasts a long time. I’ve ordered my mascara from thrive for the last few years and I decided to try something less expensive and I’m SO happy I did. This mascara is better than thrives! If you want a fuller, longer looking set of lashes, get this!

Probably taken over for my favourite drugstore mascara, beating out Lash Paradise. I love it. It goes on so well, no clumps, one coat is enough (pictured with two). It’s got a bouncy applicator that makes the product transfer to lashes so comfortably and well.

As I’m getting older, I feel like my lashes are shorter & thinner than they used to be so I’ve been testing many mascaras to give them some volume & length and after spending a lot of money I really didn’t have, I figured I’d try this and I was absolutely amazed. I don’t understand the bad reviews cuz after just using the primer was a big difference, then adding the mascara made them look amazing.. I added a layer of Essence Falsies Effect mascara cuz I wanted my lashes a bit thicker, but this Sky High primer & mascara really is great, I couldn’t ask for more from a mascara. I was so happy that I got my lashes back, it’s seriously incredible! I already re-ordered another set cuz this is my favorite now! It’s definitely worth the money!

I love this mascara, I have really, really short lashes and curling them with a curling wand and then putting this mascara on does wonders. They also stay for a long time. Only downside is, that it takes forever to take off. I have to rub my makeup remover in there like crazy. I guess that’s the secret to staying on my lashes all day though.
I only use this specific mascara on hot days or when swimming/water is involved, other days taking it off at the end of the day is just too much of a hassle.
