Cindy –
I really like these, I bought 2 8 years ago for my 2 puppies, they have held up great indoors, last year I put them on our outside deck, the sun is not kind to them! So.. I just 2 more puppies so I needed 2 more. I still have the original 2 pet beds ( still outside, year round)
My opinion is they are WELL WORTH THE MONEY!!!!! I will continue to get these as needed!

I have 3 of the around the house, including 1 in my girl’s crate. I agree with many of the other reviews. The bed is big (large fits my dog’s XL crate) and fluffy at first but quickly squashes down nearly flat. My dog likes to fluff it herself before laying down. Washing helps fluff it if I use dryer balls. The filling gets lumpy after numerous washes though. With all these issues what really matters is that my dog loves this bed! She’s kind of a weirdo anyway, so your opinion may vary based on whether your furball likes the bed.
My dog is 14. When she started getting arthritis a few years ago I got her an expensive orthopedic bed. She was not happy and I ended up giving her back this big lumpy pillow she loves so much. She now has kidney disease so she has accidents sometimes, including occasional leakage in her sleep. I’ve washed these beds many times and they hold up really well. They are really big so they fill my oversized washer and leave behind tons of dog hair (she’s a fluffy lab/chow mix), so now I keep zippered waterproof covers on the beds so I don’t have to wash them as often (only when they get smelly).
Bottom line: My dog will only sleep on this bed and she doesn’t mind the lumps or flattened batting – she just pushes it around and fluffs it to her liking. The beds are very durable (at least in the solid colors I’ve bought – navy blue and red mostly) and they wash and dry well. I have several and none have fallen apart like some other reviewers noted. The fabric is like a twill weave so I’m not sure why some people said it felt thin or cheap. Maybe if depends in which fabric you choose. For the price, I’m happy because she’s happy.

As other reviewers have said, this is basically a super large pillow and has all the problems that using a pillow with dogs has. It’s relatively sturdy, but it starts fraying quickly when you have a dog that digs at their bedding. The fraying on our oldest one (2.5 years old now) hasn’t turned into full on holes yet, but I anticipate we can just patch / sew them up if that happens.
Easy enough to wash, which is good if you have elderly pets. Stuffing becomes flattened pretty quickly with larger dogs, but it’s easy to replace with stuffing from the fabric store. All in all, this is a great buy when it’s cheap. I wouldn’t pay more than $25 than this, and if you can make your own I recommend you do that instead.

We picked up three of these beds (red, blue, green) and have had them for 45 days as of this writing. These replaced cheap beds we bought from pet smart when they gave up the ghost after about 2 years. These were the about the same price and 100% less hideous than the store bought beds. I liked the size of these because I can butt up two of the beds end to end and comfortably get 3 dogs or 175 pounds of mutt meat on them with no complaints from the peanut gallery. The colors were more earth tone than primary, so if you decide to purchase, prepare yourself.
The down side.
These beds lack somewhere between 3-6 (conservative guess) pounds of stuffing for them to really be called a bed. The spun ‘super high loft polyester fiber’ bs that’s inside balls and lumps up so there are areas inside the bed where nothing is between the occupant and the floor. The heavier the occupant, the more prevalent the issue becomes.
For what its worth, we have cork floors and I find the traction to be far above average and probably better than most tile floors when hazards are present. HOWEVER, the poly-cotton cover ranks somewhere between black ice and slip-n-slide for me when I step on these beds. I would imagine this to be hazardous for anyone with similar hardwood or tile flooring and being trip or fall prone, or having this item near a traffic area. If you happen to be or think you might be the dear elderly lady from the “I’ve fallen and can’t get up” commercials AND your flooring situation is as described above, then I can’t recommend these beds.
Additionally, while the fabric cover looks the part, it is not very durable. Nor does it shed hair very well and may in fact attract more hair than I could have thought possible. You *can* run it through a full size washing machine, but set your expectations accordingly if you use anything High Efficiency (HE) related. Taking these to a full service cleaner would probably be the better route if you can part with the few extra dollars you saved on the purchase of the bed.
Some posters have noted that the cover is not removable or that the filling is not there, or not filled equally. We figured we would give them a whirl and if all else fails we would only be out the 60 bucks for the 3, in a risk vs reward sense.
While the store bought beds we had prior were similarly akin to red headed step children, the covers were removable and washable. They weren’t slippery when stepped on and they had an acceptable amount of chopped memory foam fill that could easily be fluffed back to comfy status.
Finally, the dogs appear to like the beds. They are big and take up big space. They can be fluffed, but results vary. They look nice, but aren’t much in durability and could possibly be dangerous if your flooring is similar to what I described. I can move these beds throughout the house and even load them into a full size SUV for road trips. These beds would be exactly what I want in a dog bed if they had an adequate amount of chopped memory fill, and a more durable and removable cover.
It’s a toss up. I thought I’d rather have 3D vampire glitter and kittens over functionality, but sadly that was not the case.
